Has anyone had issues with precor's P82 consoles related to black screens and/or media option buttons? Let me explain. We have a number of P82 consoles. I have about 8 so far where the backlight power supply on the console board died. (I am assuming a buck converter on the board). I have found a solution (work around) but I am wondering what others have done to repair or replace the boards (since they are not available from Precor)
The other issue I have been having with these consoles is the failure of the snap dome membrane keypads for the media options (volume up/down channel up/down, mute and pause button). As you may know, you need these buttons to enter the service menu on the console. If they do not work, no service menu! Has anyone had this issue and what have you done to repair this? Again, precor does not sell the keypad overlays, not sure why? They would be easily replaceable, but Precor says it's "not a field serviceable part" I am thinking of having custom keypads made up, since I have run into a lot of consoles that have this issue.
